Welcome to the Exciting World of GenTech the 21st Century Digital Media & Technology Center on the campus of the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago! GenTech offers classes and programs for youth, teens, and adults. Our mission is to prepare people for 21st century colleges, careers, and entrepreneurial opportunities.

Our students are well-positioned for entry into top digital media programs in colleges and universities around country - especially with the Illinois Institute of Technology, one of the nation's top universities and with whom we have a very special relationship.

TECH COURSES: GenTech offers a full, sequential, enriched curriculum of over 30 courses for youth and teens in Video Game Creation, Animation, Web Design, and Film Production.   Our newest courses include Developing Apps for Smart Phones and Xbox360® Game Creation! Adult classes include Web Design, iPhone Apps, MS Office Software, and Computer Basics.

STEM COURSES: This summer, GenTech is blending Digital Media with Technology for an exciting summer of game creation, animation, and engineering, green technology, and digital video production. Students will be able to experience the practical application of digital media as they explore a myriad of career possibilities!

SATURDAY CLASSES: Classes meet for 10 Saturdays for 75 to 90 minutes.  Each class teaches skills that enable progressive movement through our enriched curriculum.

All GenTech courses are hands-on, highly interactive and by the end of class, each student will have completed a real-world project each week culminating with the exciting Performance Showcase.

GRANTS: We are happy to offer matching grants as long as they are available. Payment arrangements are acceptable.
